Slitter tension adjustment

Time : 2023-03-29 Hits : 20

When the slitting machine cuts the roll, it needs to ensure the correctness of the tension of the roll. Otherwise, it will affect the cutting quality and production efficiency. What is the correct way to adjust the tension of the slitter?

The following are the steps to adjust the tension of the slitter correctly:
1. Determine the required tension value:
According to the material, width, thickness, speed, and other factors of the roll, determine the required tension value.

2. Adjust the tension of the cutting knife:
Adjust the tension of the cutting knife to make it equal to or slightly larger than the tension of the coil to ensure the cutting quality.

3. Adjust the winding tension:
Adjust the winding shaft's tension to make it equal to or slightly smaller than the roll's tension to ensure the roll's quality and the roll's tightness.

4. Adjust the tension of the unwinding:
Adjust the tension of the unwinding shaft to make it equal to or slightly larger than the tension of the coil to ensure the stability of the roll during unwinding.

5. Check the tension balance:
After adjusting the above three tensions, you must check the balance. The specific method is to observe the tension gauges of the cutting knife, winding shaft, and unwinding shaft when running the roll to ensure that the tension between them is equal or slightly different.

6. Adjust the tension of the cutter head:
If the cutting quality is found to be poor or the winding is loose in the above steps, it may be that the tension of the cutter head is insufficient, and the tension of the cutter head needs to be adjusted to improve the cutting quality and winding tightness.

Generally speaking, the correct adjustment of the tension of the slitter needs to be adjusted according to the specific roll conditions, and attention should be paid to the balance and stability during the adjustment process to ensure the quality and efficiency of coil cutting and winding.
